Known Problems and Solutions

Problem: Keypad screen flashes a red X pattern and beeps

Solution: the motor encountered difficulty extending the deadbolt, and the lock has detected a jammed state. The numbers 1, 5, 9, 3, and 7 will light up on the keypad, forming an X.

Like all other deadbolts, pushing the door in or out while locking can help-- similar to how you would treat a brass key and door frame if there were some friction. The property Staff should contact their RealPage Certified Partner (RCP) or installation representative regarding installation issues.

Problem: Critically Low Battery

  • Solution 1: Use a mechanical key (if the lock model supports this), and replace the batteries.

  • Solution 2: Use a 9-volt battery and apply contact to the terminals on the bottom of the lock, unlock the door either with a PIN or STRATIS Mobile App.

Problem: After changing the module, mobile unlocking is no longer possible

Problem: Lock Activity logs are missing

  • Solution: Unlock using the STRATIS Mobile App while your smartphone is connected to the internet. Check back in 5 minutes to see your most recent unlock activity.

Problem: An Invalid PIN was entered too many times

  • Solution: If an invalid PIN is entered five (5) consecutive times, a shutdown timer begins, followed by a one (1) minute lockout period during which no PINs can be entered.

    • The shutdown timer may be canceled by:

      • unlocking via insertion of a mechanical key or a

      • thumb-turn on the lock.

      • STRATIS Mobile unlock

    • If the shutdown timer is not canceled, a valid PIN can be entered after the one (1) minute lockout expires.
