All of the steps and actions outlined below are for Visitors, referred to in the Chirp Admin Panel as Guests. Actions for Staff and Residents are outlined in separate sections.

Adding a Visitor in the Staff Menu

Property Staff can add Visitors on behalf of Residents. For example, if a dog walker arrives at your lobby and doesn't currently have Visitor access from a Resident, you can grant that dog walker Visitor access on behalf of your Resident. You should always make sure that the person you’re letting into a Resident’s unit is known and trusted before granting them Visitor access.

1. Select People.

2. Select the arrow to the right of Visitors, then +.

3. Fill out the required Visitor information, and Select a Unit to grant access to the relevant Resident’s unit.

4. Click Save Visitor. Your Visitor will now appear under the Visitors menu.

Manage Current Visitors

1. Select People.

2. Select the arrow to the right of Visitors.

3. Select the name or Unit number of the Visitor to view the details of the Visitor’s access permissions and/or revoke the Visitor’s access rights. Revoked Visitors will continue to appear in the Visitors list, as a revoked individual, for 30 days.

4. Note that Staff members can view and manage Visitors in individual units in the Places menu.

Manage Visitors in a Single Unit

1. Select Places.

2. Select the desired unit.

3. Select the name of the Visitor to view the details of the Visitor’s access permissions and/or revoke the Visitor’s access rights.

Disable Visitor Access for a Single Unit

1. Select Places.

2. Select the desired unit.

3. Select Turn OFF Visitor Access.

Note that this will disable Visitor access for all Residents in that unit.
