STRATIS Management App and Chirp Admin Panel Overview
This page and all others on the help site will be retired in Q4 2024. Please refer to the new help site by clicking the Help icon in the top-right corner of the STRATIS Management application.
For now, you’ll be using the STRATIS Management App in conjunction with the Chirp Admin Panel. In the future, STRATIS will integrate the Chirp Admin Panel into our new STRATIS Smart Building Portal, and you’ll be able to complete all necessary management of our property without having to switch between applications.
Information in the STRATIS Management App syncs over to the Chirp Admin Panel. This also means that you’ll be able to see many of the menu items in the left side menu of the STRATIS Management App, but should not use or change anything in those menus.
The home screen of the STRATIS Management App has three tiles in the center. These particular menus can also be accessed via the left-hand menu bar, which contains additional menus.
Chirp Access Points will be managed by selecting Chirp in the left-side menu.
This will take you to a screen with multiple potential actions.
Selecting the Manage Chirp Access Points option (the first tile to the left) will open a new browser tab containing the Chirp Admin Panel.
Note that the Chirp Admin Panel has a different look and feel from the STRATIS Management App. There are sections in this app that should not be used, as their functionality has already been moved into STRATIS. Below are the few basic menus which you do need to be aware of.
Dashboard
This is the screen that will appear when you first launch the Chirp Admin Panel from the STRATIS Management App.
Places
From this accordion menu you’ll have several different sub-menu options.
Access Points lists out all access points on all of your properties. Sort the list by any one of the column headers, and see useful information such as Type, Access Timeout length, and date Created. Depending on the access point solution your property uses, this may or may not be a relevant menu.
Tickets
This ticketing section displays all active tickets related to your Yale smart locks. This screen is visible by all Staff with the Chirp Property Manager role or the Chirp Office Staff role. A required battery change, for example, could be a ticket in the Chirp Admin Panel. Tickets are automatically created in this queue if STRATIS detects a low battery on a Yale lock, and if a Resident is moved out of STRATIS. You can’t create these tickets on your own. With the Yale integration, Staff are highly encouraged to visit the apartment after a move-out, and the Chirp tickets section helps them keep track of this.
Smart Locks
STRATIS Property Admins and STRATIS Staff will be able to view this section.
Each listed lock will have some actionable functionality:
Details pulls up the list of all information about that lock.
Edit allows the user to edit lock information and assign the lock to another unit, which requires also physically moving the lock to a new unit door (Not Recommended).
August Audit requests information from the STRATIS system related to the smart lock such as battery percentage, MAC address, Residents who are registered for access on that lock, etc.
Note that in the Chirp Admin Panel, Visitors are referred to by the term Guests, which generically refers to people visiting the property.
In the STRATIS Management App, the terms Guest and Visitor are both used and have different meanings – a Visitor in STRATIS is synonymous with a Guest in Chirp Admin Panel, but a Guest in STRATIS refers to a self-guided tour prospect.
