Enabling ActiveBuilding and/or Community Rewards

Overview

This article describes how to enable the STRATIS Mobile App integrations with ActiveBuilding and/or Community Rewards.

Before You Begin

To enable these features, your property must have either ActiveBuilding and/or Community Rewards. Let us know that you’d like to activate these features, and we’ll enable them for your property (typically this takes a few days).

It’s important that your STRATIS system be synced with your property's Property Management System.

While ActiveBuilding doesn’t support Entrata sites, the Community Rewards feature is supported for Entrata properties.

Property Manager Steps and Options

What’s my STRATIS ID?

Don’t know your STRATIS ID? It’s easy to get. Just locate your property name in the top left corner of the Management app and click the information icon to the right (the screenshot below is just an example; your property name will vary).

Adding Your STRATIS ID to the ActiveBuilding Dashboard

1. Open the ActiveBuilding Dashboard.

2. Navigate to Dashboard>Application Settings:

3. Click Modules & Features:

4. The list of modules is in alphabetical order. Scroll down until you see Stratis.

5. Activate the module and enter your STRATIS Property ID. Note: The screenshot below contains a sample property ID. Yours will vary depending on your implementation.

6. Click Save Changes.

As long as your Residents in STRATIS and ActiveBuilding and/or Community Rewards are synced to their PMS identities, the feature integration will work without any further required action on your part.

If the connection to these features for a Resident fails, ensure that the account is synced to your property’s Property Management System (such as OneSite or Yardi). Otherwise, please contact STRATIS Support.

If you need assistance with one of these features (such as Payments or Rewards), please leverage the ActiveBuilding or Community Rewards support teams.

Resident Experience

Current users of the STRATIS Mobile App can access ActiveBuilding and Community Rewards once they have completed the steps for enabling both accounts.

New users of STRATIS Mobile App can download the app and can begin using the ActiveBuilding and Community Rewards features once the accounts for both have been activated.

Enrolling in ActiveBuilding

Residents (new and current) should receive a welcome email to sign up for ActiveBuilding. They will then click the Get Started Now link from the email, then enter their email address and password.

They will then answer some basic details about themselves and select some privacy preferences.

Residents who did NOT receive a registration email will need to complete the following steps:

  1. Open <propertyname>.activebuilding.com in their browser.

  2. Click the New User button. The email will be sent again, and they will complete the steps above for the welcome email.

Enrolling in Community Rewards

Community Rewards enrollment can be completed in the STRATIS Mobile App itself. The Resident taps the Rewards tile in the app and enters their email address. An email will arrive in their inbox which they can click to log in.

What Residents can do with ActiveBuilding and Community Rewards

Once both have been activated, ActiveBuilding and Community Rewards can both be accessed via two tiles with STRATIS Mobile App.
