Types of Visitor Access

Your residents have two options for sending access to their visitors they can select from their STRATIS Mobile app:

PINs must be enabled for visitors for either option to work.

  • Full Access: This level of access allows a visitor to gain entry to the building and to the resident’s unit. Visitors will not have access to Brivo amenities, but will have access to any Brivo doors that are present in the Brivo group “Visitors.”

    • When invited, the visitor will receive an email to download the STRATIS Mobile app. If your property has Brivo keypad readers AND the visitor PIN option was enabled during onboarding, visitors will receive a PIN via email.

  • Property-Only Access: This level of access allows a visitor to gain entry to the building and cannot enter any residential units.

    • When invited, the visitor will receive an email to download the STRATIS Mobile app. If your property has Brivo keypad readers AND the visitor PIN option was enabled during onboarding, visitors will receive a PIN via email.

How Residents Invite Visitors

1. When logged in as a resident, tap the Navigation Icon in the top-left corner.

2. Tap Visitors.

3. Tap the + icon in the upper right.

4. Tap Full Access or Property Only.

  • Depending on your property’s available locks, one or more options may be unavailable.

5. Tap Enter Contact Information or Select from Contacts to pre-fill visitor contact information:

  • First Name, Last Name, and email address is required.

How Property Staff Invite Visitors

Property staff can add visitors for residents themselves. For example, if a dog walker arrives at your lobby and doesn't currently have visitor access from a resident, you can grant that dog walker visitor access on behalf of your resident. You should always make sure that the person you’re letting into a resident’s unit is known and trusted before granting them visitor access.

1. You have two options for adding visitors as a staff user:

  • Click People at the left-hand navigation, then select the + icon at the far right of the Visitors section.

  • Click Units, select the unit, then click the + icon at the far right of the Visitors section.

2. Fill out the required visitor information, including the name, email address, start and end dates, and the days of the week. You can also activate the Allow 24/7 access? box to allow all-day access.

3. Select a Unit to grant access to the relevant resident’s unit. If you came to this screen via the Units menu, this field will already be populated (although you can change it if you wish).

4. Click Save Visitor. Your visitor will now show up under the Visitors menu.

If you’re unable to complete these steps in STRATIS, check that you have Visitor access turned on for your property. Note that turning on Visitor access also allows Residents to give Visitor access on their own, in their STRATIS Mobile App, independent of Staff.

Managing Visitor Time Limit

This feature impacts all property-only visitors by setting a time limit for the maximum window that they’ll be allowed access. To adjust this setting:

1. Select Property Setup.

2. Select Settings.

3. Make sure that Allow Visitor access to property is checked on.

4. In the Property-Only Access Visitor Duration Limit field, set your desired duration in hours.

5. Click Save.
