Making Maintenance Keys - dormakaba

Maintenance keys are temporary smart or mobile keys that you can create and set to expire at a specific date and time. Commonly, they’re used for temporary vendor access. Maintenance keys do show up in Community. Maintenance keys can only be made for one ticket at a time.
To make a Maintenance smart key:
Select Maintenance from the left side menu.
Select + Add Ticket.
Enter the email address of the person requesting the Maintenance key, the status of the ticket, and the type of ticket, then select Next. A new menu will appear.
From the left column of the menu, choose your desired units.
Select Add Key.
Indicate the expiration date and time. Note that the default for Maintenance keys is 5:00 PM on the day of creation, but that you can change this if you wish, up to 30 days into the future.
Select Confirm.
Place the blank smart key on the encoder. A confirmation message will appear.
To make a Maintenance mobile key:
Select Maintenance from the side menu.
Choose and select the relevant ticket for this mobile key. You can only choose one ticket.
Select Mobile Credential at the bottom of the screen.
Indicate the expiration date and time. Note that the default for maintenance keys is 5:00 PM on the day of creation, but that you can change this if you wish, up to 30 days into the future. Setting maintenance key expiration to allow the least amount of access time is best security practice for your property.
Select Next, then Confirm.
Note: Making a Maintenance Mobile Key assigns it to the property maintenance email. To assign this to a different user, open the ticket from the Maintenance screen, click Unassign and Reassign to the appropriate user.
