Google Home For STRATIS Residents
Google Home Mini now works with your STRATIS Mobile App. Use voice control to manage your lights, thermostat, and more.
Device Setup Instructions
If you haven’t done so already, download the STRATIS Mobile App and accept the email from your property manager to activate your STRATIS account.
Unbox your Google Home Mini. Once plugged in, you’ll see four LED lights flash across the top of the device. The lights will flash in Google brand colors for a moment, before the voice assistant welcomes you to Google Home.
Download the Google Home app from your relevant app store.
You may be asked to allow Google Home to find and connect to devices on your local network, as well as to allow Google Home access to Bluetooth. Select Ok for both.
Sign in with your personal gmail account. If you don’t have one, create a gmail account to use for the device.
In the home screen of the app, select the Settings/Gear icon in the center of your screen.
Select Works with Google from the bottom of the list.
Search for STRATIS Home. This will pull up the STRATIS Home Action, which is the STRATIS-specific Google Action. Actions are applets written for Google Assistant to provide extended functionality, in this case for STRATIS.
When Google asks if you want to Link an account to control STRATIS Home on any device, select Continue.
Sign in to the new Stratis screen that appears using your email and password used for your STRATIS Mobile App. If prompted by STRATIS, Allow Access.
Accept the terms and conditions, and agree to use multi-factor authentication if prompted.
Choose which IOT devices from your unit you’d like to operate with your Google Home.
These devices should now appear in the home page of your Google Home App.
Once your Google Home Mini is set up, keep it plugged in and active for your own use around your home. Try out some popular features like asking Google to play your music, dim lights, or set a scene.
