Occasionally, you might need to set a lock back to its factory default settings. When factory resetting (FDR) a lock you’ll also need to delete it from Engage before it can be commissioned again. Factory reseting the lock will cause the lock to no longer work with any previously programmed smart keys.

Hardware Needed:

  • STRATIS tablet

  • Allegion Engage Mobile App

  • Phillips Head Screwdriver

  1. Make sure that the deadbolt is retracted.

  2. Remove the cover to reveal the lock’s batteries.

  3. Remove one battery. Wait three seconds, then put the battery back in.

  4. A green light will appear on the front of the lock, then begin to flash.

  5. Wait until you hear the lock beep three times.

  6. Grasp the lock’s retractor, the long metal rod sticking out of the lock between the bottom two batteries, and twist left and right twice.

  7. Wait for confirmation from the lock that you’ve reset it. You’ll hear two short beeps followed by one long beep.

  8. Once the lock has been factory reset, you’ll need to remove the lock from Engage and recommission it, then re-program it with the STRATIS tablet.
