What is PMS Integration?

What is the Property Management System (PMS) integration?

Our PMS integration is designed to increase your efficiency and allow your PMS to act as the single source of truth for resident information. Activating the PMS integration will facilitate resident move-in and move-out processes on your behalf within STRATIS, so that you don’t have to. The integration also allows properties with certain PMS brands to switch on the PMS-integrated maintenance feature. Once turned on, your residents can submit maintenance requests through the STRATIS Mobile App, with their requests automatically flowing into your PMS' maintenance queue.

Why integrate your PMS?

This integration automates the transfer of all resident information into STRATIS from your PMS, at no additional cost to your property. Your residents will populate in STRATIS ahead of their move-in, allowing you to make and test their smart key in advance. Instead of updating resident contact information in your PMS and in STRATIS, you’ll only need to update your PMS. When it’s time for move-out, the PMS integration will automatically move your resident out of their unit and revoke their mobile access. This saves you time and helps your property be more secure in its move-out procedures.

How does the PMS Integration work?

The integration matches your residents, in your PMS and in STRATIS, by name, email, and unit number. If any of this information is mismatched, your resident will fail to sync, which will be noted at the bottom of the Residents List. Keeping your PMS information accurate and up to date is key! Your residents will be moved in and out of their units based on the lease dates you’ve set for them in your PMS.

What is the PMS Integration process like?

The process differs depending on if your property is an established property who signed on as a STRATIS client before we rolled out our PMS integration, or if you’re a brand new property signing on as a client at current date.

Once an established property decides to integrate, our STRATIS Wellness team works with them to set up their preferred integration settings, and coach them on how to clean up their existing data set to prepare for the integration. The data is run through a report by STRATIS, which puts residents into buckets by identified error. The property then follows the directions given for that specific error to fill in missing pieces of resident info in their PMS.

New properties are onboarded by TechOps project managers and Support Engineers, but don’t work with our Wellness team as they don’t require the data cleanup process.

For both situations, we provide post-integration updates and webinars to explain the few differences in using STRATIS for PMS-integrated properties versus non-PMS-integrated properties.
