Schedules Overview - Schlage

Schedules are the way we relate temporary access restrictions and changes to the standard Gregorian calendar. There are five different types of schedules for Schlage locks in the Management App.

Credential schedules are set for common areas and amenities rather than Residential units, and restrict the hours that a Resident’s smart or mobile key will work on that door’s lock. They’re broken down into two types.

• Resident Credential Schedules: This feature is used to control just Residential access to common areas and amenities.  For example, a credential schedule could be set to allow Residents' use of your property’s pool from 8am to 8pm, but block access for all other hours.

• Staff Credential Schedules: This setting is used for Staff keys to only have access on the property during allotted times. For example, your cleaning Staff would have a set Staff credential schedule which would allow them to access the property from 8PM to 4AM, but not during any other hours of the day. When writing a new Staff key, you can choose to add a credential schedule to that key, as long as that schedule is pre-made in the Property Settings menu’s Credential Schedules section before your key is written. Doing so will enforce that schedule for the key on all Schlage access points that the key can enter. Once the key is written, it isn’t possible to add a Staff schedule to that key at a later time.

Auto-Unlock Schedules: These are used to set hours where a door is automatically unlocked. Setting hours when the front door is unlocked and when a smart or mobile key will be required for night entry is a good example of how you might use this setting.

Holiday Schedules: These schedules are set to handle changes in access for calendar holidays and the days surrounding them. They override other schedules. For example, if the leasing office is closed for July 4th, a set holiday schedule will override the auto-unlock schedule for that day and keep the office door locked.
